Nazi Germany’s Flag of the War Minister, and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.

This German World War II Flag was used from 1935-1938.

Description: A red flag with a black-white-black bordered edge. It has a white disk with a swastika in center with black-white border. It is similar in effect to the ensign but has a centered disk. In the top left quarter and bottom right quarter, it has a white-black-white bordered black Iron Cross. In the top right and bottom left quarters it has a white bordered black Nazi National Eagle.

This flag was used by Field Marshal Werner von Blomberg from 1935 until his dismissal from office in 1938. In 1938, the office of War Minister was abolished and was assumed by the new Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (OKW) under Colonel-General Wilhelm Keitel.
