John Hough is a lover of all history, especially Civil War! A true southerner through and through, John was born and raised in Florida. From a family of Veterans and Law Enforcement,  John was taught from a very early age that you work hard, push through obstacles and see the job through to a done no matter what.  That’s the strong work-ethic, morals and traditional values that he believes should continue to be spread across this country. 

He loves sharing stories of times long past and keeping our heritage and history alive.  When not blogging about Southern History, you can find him enjoying the outdoors. Whether he’s hunting, riding ATV’s or enjoying shooting sports, he loves our country through and through.
