Texas Volunteers Flag 20th Regiment of Confederate Army
This flag design was flown by the Texas volunteers during the Civil War. Inside the circle of stars is says: Our Homes Our Rights and is similar in design to the 13 star 1st National flag of the Confederate States of America. The difference is in the 2 bars the words: 20 Regiment and Texas Volunteers are written on the bars.
The 20th Texas Infantry Regiment was an infantry regiment that served in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. The 20th Texas Infantry was commanded by Colonel Henry M. Elmore. It was part of the District of Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, also known as the Third Corps under General John B. Magruder. Their main purpose was to guard the Sabine River and to protect the city of Galveston, Texas. They saw little action until the Battle of Galveston in January 1863, in which they served with distinction, for which their actions were commended by Confederate President Jefferson Davis.
On May 26, 1865, at New Orleans, the 20th Texas Infantry was surrendered to Federal forces as part of General Edmund Kirby Smith’s Confederate Trans-Mississippi Department, with Lt. Gen. Simon B. Buckner acting in Smiths name.

This is an American Made, heavy duty nylon embroidered flag, with brass grommets and sewn stripes. There is additional stitching in the fly corners (opposite end from the pole). It is fabricated to be very durable for outdoor use.
Flagpole sizes should be 4 times the fly length of the flag. Example 3×5 foot flags go on pole approximately 20 feet, 5×8 on 32 foot poles.
The USA flag is the Flag of the United States of America. The red stands for valor, the blue for justice, and the white is for purity. The blue field represents the Union while each star stands for every state in the Union. Each red and white stripe stands for one of the original British colonies that formed the Union.
This is an American Made, heavy duty nylon flag, with solid brass grommets, sewn stripes and embroidered stars. There is additional stitching in the fly corners (opposite end from the pole).
