The Kriegsmarine flag replaced the earlier Reichsmarine version in 1938 and remained in use until Germany’s surrender in 1945. Featuring the infamous swastika insignia centered on a cross, it symbolized the maritime power of Nazi Germany’s navy under Grand Admiral Erich Raeder and later Karl Dönitz. It was flown during historic naval conflicts including the Battle of the Atlantic and Operation Weserübung.

A double sided flag is 2 flags sewn back to back with a liner. Because it is double the flags, it is double the price. And because this is a custom 1 of a kind flag being created, made by USA Veterans here in the good ol’ USA, yes the price is higher. USA is NOT a 3rd world country… yet!

CustomerExactly like in the picture. Great quality. I would suggest one tweak for historical accuracy. The swastika is a tad too small inside the white disk. Kriegsmarine flags swastika was almost touching the outside of the white disk. However this flag is perfect for re-enactments or amateur film-making.
