The U.S. Army Flag was first used on June 14th, 1956. The seal of the Army is displayed in the center of the flag but is blue instead of its original colors. The United States Army (USA) is the primary land service branch of the United States Armed Forces. It is designated as the Army of the United States in the United States Constitution. It is one of the six armed forces and one of the eight Uniformed services of the United States. The Army is the most senior branch in order of precedence amongst the armed services. It has its roots in the Continental Army, which was formed on 14 June 1775 to fight against the British for independence during the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783).

Texas Dodson Flag

Dodson’s “Lone Star” flag , Also responding to the September 19, 1835 call for volunteers, Capt. Andrew Robinson, Jr. raised a company from the community of Harrisburg . Made by Sarah Dodson for her husband, Lt. Archelaus Bynum Dodson for his volunteer company. Made of calico, blue, red and white squares of equal sizes. “The white star allegedly symbolized that Texas was the only Mexican state in which the star of liberty was rising.” Carried at least as far as Cibolo Creek by James Ferguson and possibly at the Battle of Concepcion and the Siege of Bexar. However, Austin had asked him not to fly it at Bexar for fear that it would be considered a revolutionary flag. Considered the first Tri-Color Lone Star flag.
