This flag is a reproduction of the Nazi Reich Labor Service Flag, RAD Section Flag. It is a red flag with a centered black white-bordered swastika. In the middle of the swastika, there is a white wreath surrounding a white disc with black Reichsarbeitsdienst insignia (a vertical spade pointed up set between the angle made by two stylized ears of wheat). In upper fly the unit name Horst Wessel in white. Surrounded by a golden border all the way around design.

The Reich Labour Service (Reichsarbeitsdienst; RAD) was a major organization established in Nazi Germany as an agency to help mitigate the effects of unemployment on the German economy, militarise the workforce and indoctrinate it with Nazi ideology. It was the official state labour service, divided into separate sections for men and women.
From June 1935 onward, men aged between 18 and 25 may have served six months before their military service. During World War II, compulsory service also included young women and the RAD developed to an auxiliary formation which provided support for the Wehrmacht armed forces.
The German Flag with Swastika was used from 1920-1945. The swastika itself has much older and deeper roots, going back thousands of years. (It was used as a symbol of luck, even in the United States, before World War II.) As a flag, it is presented here in historical context. However, some groups use this flag today in an underground, unofficial capacity. We ship this flag worldwide, but in some areas it may be illegal to display or posses such a flag. Be mindful of its extreme emotional value and the level of offense displaying this flag can create. For that reason, we do not recommend this flag be displayed anywhere outside of it’s historical context.
