Berry Benson was a civil war sharpshooter and was on the confederates side. He fought in General lee’s army. Benson was captured by the Union and managed to escape their clutches. Berry was always a great shooter and was even selected to a special battalion for exceptional shooters in 1862. He married in 1868 and became an accountant.
