A confederate flag was put on a coin and it has caused a lot of controversy. The coin was issued to Pensacola firefighters and was met with some bad emotions. It has dawned some criticism. The coins were purchased as a gift and it appears the confederate flag was not put their on purpose. The old department patch was used which had that flag on it.
