Preserved Civil War flag unveiled after three year project

A very unique historical relic was recently unveiled. On Thursday November 10th, members of the Louisiana Area Historical Museum displayed a completely preserved Civil War flag at the American legion post 370. The flag was originally owned by Sam Minor prior to acquisition by the Louisiana Area Historical Museum. The flag unveiling was preceded by a discussion led by Judy Schmidt on the history of the Confederate flag and the Civil War in Missouri. This project took three years to complete.
