Pesky flags keep popping up in the pulpit

It has become a focus of the Baptist church in Shelby that there are flags that should be of greater importance than others. This church decided to hang a Christian flag above the American flag. The senior pastor believes it displays “Bible based patriotism”. The U.S. has had other concerns with flags such as the confederate flag. The Baptist Convention wanted to discontinue the display of the flag because they believe it is a sign of solidarity.
