Could the Governor’s Race in Virginia Turn on the Question of Confederate Monuments?

Democratic Governor Henry Carter Stuart dedicated the The Virginia monument at the Gettysburg Battlefield a century ago in July of 1917. Since the incidents in Charlottesville in August, there has been a surge in debates over confederate monuments. The next Governor will be left with the difficult task of deciding how to handle the issue.
