A brief account of the battery flag and what became of it. Mr. Jno. W. Todd recounts his experience and provides details of his time with the confederacy with the flag. There was more use for guns than a flag, but it was worn under his uniform by cutting two holes in the flag to put his arms through and hide underneath.
