Saline County enjoys the restoration of the 25th Governor’s portrait as it hangs majestically in the rotunda of the Saline County Courthouse.A Confederate general the portrait is 4 1/2 ‘ by 7 ft
dates back to between the 1920-1930’s. John S. Marmaduke served the county and state as Governor .
