Conflict Over Confederate Flags at Cottage Grove Festival

In Cottage Grove, Oregon, at their annual Bohemia Mining Days Festival- organizers of the festival asked to not have the Confederate Flag up and said it was inappropriate. Many people spoke up in protest that the flag shouldn’t be taken down. Some said that the flag should be up because it represented southern heritage and another person said that any flag should be up. To sum it up, you can’t make everyone happy and that it would be an on going debate if the flag was up or not.
