Confederate nurse honored more than 150 years after Civil War

The United Daughters of the Confederacy have honored Kate Sexton, a Civil War nurse, with a marked gravesite in a cemetery in Bristol, Virginia. Ms. Sexton served Confederate soldiers in Virginia and Georgia and died more than 150 years ago at age 77. Ms. Sexton’s grave is one of many that the United Daughters of the Confederacy have recognized and marked.
