Confederate battle anthem played at Miss. park

Confederate flags are displayed by a gathering of people, some from the Confederate United Patriot society, claiming the flag is a symbol of Southern heritage as the Confederate Anthem is played loudly on stage at Ballard Park. Protesters of the flag join the event citing it to be a symbol of hate. Flag supporters argue that the Civil War was not fought over slavery and that Africans were also responsible for slavery. Protesters maintain that it is unacceptable to support a symbol of such an institution.
