First Amendment? Not in California. California owns the right to decide what speech the state engages in. Most recently evident by its banning on a painting of the civil war from a county fair art fair because it includes the Confederate Flag due to its symbolism of racism and demonstration of a darker time for America. Defendants argue that this is a violation of the first amendment.
