Beauvoir: The Jefferson Davis Home and Presidential Library

The presidential library for Jefferson Davis, the only president of the Confederate States of America, resides in Biloxi, Mississippi. He came to Biloxi after his release from federal custody after the Civil War and wrote his memoirs. Today the house serves as a museum to the Confederate soldier. In fact, the Tomb of the Unknown Confederate Soldier resides there. It is a place where a lost cause is still remembered.
