Bill filed to ban confederate flag from public buildings in SC

John King introduced legislation to the South Carolina legislature that would prohibit the display of the Confederate Flag on public property. In 2015 the Confederate Flag was removed from the grounds of the South Carolina State House where it had been for 52 years. Proponents of the bill say the flag is a symbol of hate, while opponents point out that flag represented Confederates of all color fighting in the Civil War. Both sides are set to take legal action, if needed.
