Bennington 76 Flag on stick
Size: 4×6 inch on stick with Gold Fringe
– Makes a great gift for a history lover!
Tradition tells us this flag was flown by Nathanial Fillmore at the Battle of Bennington in 1777 (Nathaniel Fillmore was the grandfather of U.S. President Millard Fillmore). In 1926 it was donated by the last Fillmore family owner. This flag has 13 stars in an unusual pattern. The 13 white and red stripes are also unusual as they begin and end with white stripes. The blue field is extra large, resting on a red stripe. Within an of stars arch is the number “76” that denotes the year of the American Declaration of Independence.
