The 3rd Michigan Cavalry Regiment was a cavalry regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. The 3rd Regiment, Michigan Cavalry was organized at Grand Rapids, Michigan, August 24 to November 28, 1861. Originally raised under the Superintendence of Colonel Kellogg, it mustered 1163 officers and men. The Regiment was mustered out February 12, 1866. It was discharged at Jackson, Michigan, March 15, 1866.
