A Demopolis police officer is on administrative leave after crashing into the Confederate monument. The incident occurred early in the morning on Saturday July 16th, 2016. The officer was reportedly not hurt from the incident. Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese reported on the incident and stated that is under further investigation. No further details are provided.
